Derek was born and raised in South Florida. After graduating High School in 2003, he was eager to get to work. He started in pre-cast concrete, then transitioned into concrete cutting as an operator. During that time, he worked on a wide variety of different project types which helped deepen his construction experience, knowledge, and sharpened his ability to work in a fast-paced environment. After concrete cutting, he went on to work in demolition as a site superintendent on many high-profile projects. Ranging from surgical centers, hospitals, to Pratt and Whitney’s West Palm Beach site. After demolition, Derek worked as a Project Manager/Contractor Coordinator on site at Pratt & Whitney’s West Palm Beach site. During his time, he gained more experience and how to effectively plan and execute construction projects in a high profile/highly secured facility. Derek holds a deep commitment to honesty, craftsmanship and the quality of one’s work.

Derek spends his free time with his amazing wife, and their four beautiful children. Derek loves to spend time with his kids along with coaching his son’s little league teams. Derek relaxes by hunting, fishing and training in mix martial arts.
